Abstract
Objective: The purpose was to investigate change of muscle tone and improvement of mobility of lower extremities using Range of Motion(ROM) of ankle dorsi flexion, Modified Ashworth Scale(MAS), Balance and Gross Motor Function Measure(GMFM) after applying Halliwick Rotation Program(HRP) and Neuro Developmental Treatment(NDT) to children with spastic cerebral palsy.

Method: This study was conducted through two groups of children(4-15yrs.) ; one group included 15 children under only HRP and the other involved 15 children under NDT. The period was 8weeks, from June to August, 2009. HRP and NDT were applied to two groups for 30minutes, three times a week.

Results: We found out significant differences of ROM while ankle dorsi flexed between pre and post treatment in all the two groups(p<.05). Improvement of ROM while ankle dorsi flexed in HRP was significantly high.

Conclusion: The change of ROM, balance and GMFM showed significant difference(p<.05) between pre and post treatment. ROM of HRP group showed better effects than NDT group.
